Olivier Latry
Olivier Latry is considered one of the world’s leading ambassadors for the organ. At the age of only 23, he was appointed titular organist at the Great Organ of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris and has been organist emeritus of the Orchestre National de Montréal since 2012. The press praises him as a versatile musician who brilliantly and daringly explores all possible areas of his instrument and is endowed with an exceptional talent for improvisation.
Olivier Latry performs regularly in the world’s most prestigious concert halls and has played under conductors such as Myung-Whun Chung, Andris Nelsons, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Stéphane Denève, Christoph Eschenbach, Alain Altinoglu and Kent Nagano. Olivier is also Organist in Residence with the Dresden Philharmonic for the 2021-2022 season.
In March 2019, he began a collaboration with the La Dolce Volta label. In 2021, his Liszt monograph and Inspirations, a book about the organ of the Philharmonie de Paris, will be published. He is currently William T. Kemper Artist in Residence at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, USA.
