Michel Tissier
Michel Tissier was first taught by André Fleury in Dijon. After studying at the Grenoble Conservatoire (first prize in organ and improvisation), he was a pupil of Marcel Dupré for 3 years.
In 1976 he was appointed titular organist of the Collegiate Church of Notre Dame de Beaune. As part of the annual concert series held in July, he has performed the complete works of Bach, Brahms, Liszt, Franck and the 6 symphonies of Vierne, among others.
From 1980 to 2013, he was organ professor at the Conservatoire de Chalon-sur-Saône, succeeding Raffi Ourgandjian.
Michel Tissier has performed on major instruments in France (including Notre Dame de Paris, Rouen, St Maximin, Marseille, Avignon and Saint-Rémy de Provence) and abroad (including England, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, Switzerland, Hungary and Poland).
