Part 9: Marcel Dupré in private
The death of their daughter Marguerite severely shook Marcel Dupré and his wife Jeanne. On many of his journeys, he had Marguerite by his side as a duo partner. He composed and arranged pieces for organ and piano that were dedicated to her. After Marguerite’s death, her twin daughters Jeanne and Alice grew up with their grandparents. Marcel Dupré’s granddaughter, Alice Szebrat, provides insights into the musical household.
