Ulrich Linke
Ulrich Linke studied School Music Teaching and German Language and Literature at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and the University/GHS Essen. Doctorate in musicology at the Folkwang University of the Arts with Prof. Dr. Matthias Brzoska on the topic Der französische Liederzyklus von 1866 bis 1914. Entwicklungen und Strukturen. Author of the book Minimal Music. Dimensions of a Concept (Essen 1997). Various publications and lectures on the music of the 20th and 21st century, on French music and on vocal music as well as in the field of gender research (countertenors, homosexuality and music). Since he finished with his Second State Exam in 2003, he has been working as a teacher, first in Bielefeld and from 2005 at the Humboldtgymnasium in Solingen. He taught at the Folkwang University of the Arts and Folkwang University Essen from 2008 to 2011 and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Cologne in the winter semester 2011/12 and the summer semester 2013.
