Part 1: Marcel Dupré – the Impressionist (2/2)
When Dupré became a student of Charles-Marie Widor’s composition class, Paris was filled with the sound world of Debussy, Fauré and Ravel. This zeitgeist is also reflected in Dupré’s early works. For the first time, previously unpublished songs for choir and piano will be performed, which until now have lain dormant in the archives of the Paris National Library.
